Civil Defense issues warnings about heavy rainfall across Saudi Arabia through Monday

RIYADH April 4, 2025 — The General Directorate of Civil Defense has advised people throughout Saudi Arabia to remain cautious and alert as thunderstorms and heavy rains are forecasted to persist until Monday.
Both Saudi citizens and expatriates are urged to stay in safe areas, avoid flood-prone zones and valleys, and not swim in them. The forecast predicts dust storms and moderate to heavy rainfall in the Makkah and Riyadh regions.
Additionally, moderate to heavy rains are expected in the Tabuk, Madinah, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Eastern Province, Hail, Qassim, Al-Baha, and Asir regions. The Jazan region will experience light to moderate rains, while the Najran region is expected to receive light rainfall.
