Riyadh, October 12, 2023, In a concerted effort to enhance sports engagement and accessibility for athletes, a collaborative memorandum was signed between the Quality-of-Life Program Center and the Golato application. This strategic partnership aims to empower athletes by providing access to more than 500 sports facilities through the 'HAWI' platform, a component of the National Portal for Hobbies.
The signing ceremony, held at the Quality-of-Life Program Center in Riyadh, saw the presence of Tareq bin Adnan Al-Ghourabi, the Director General of HAWI, and Eng. Hammad bin Mohammad Al-Hammad, the CEO of the Sports System Company for Information Technology.
This cooperative agreement encourages Golato users to establish their own clubs within the HAWI platform, enabling them to partake in events and competitions organized by the National Portal for Hobbies. Additionally, it fosters partnerships with various specialized sports academies.
To celebrate this partnership, the Quality-of-Life Program Center, in alignment with the National Portal for Hobbies' commitment to delivering high-quality services to HAWI club members, has made 1,000 free reservations available through the HAWI platform across different regions and cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The establishment of HAWI in October 2022 was driven by the demand of countless hobbyists across the Kingdom who sought support for creating clubs dedicated to their interests. HAWI not only provides the necessary legal framework but also offers a spectrum of services. Its mission encompasses reserving venues for hosting events, issuing permits for amateur events and hobbies, processing funding requests for amateur clubs, securing reservations for incubator and shared workspaces, and facilitating various operational and financial support applications tailored to the unique needs of each club. Due to the substantial demand from enthusiasts eager to establish their clubs, the HAWI platform now boasts over 570 active clubs, making it a cornerstone for hobbyists in Saudi Arabia.
