Riyadh, February 28, 2024, Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the establishment of the "Red Sea National Academy" (TRSNA) was unveiled during the Human Capability Initiative in Riyadh. This initiative aims to implement collaborative programs between the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Colleges of Excellence, and Red Sea Global to equip trainees with specialized technical skills aligned with the regional labor market demands. TRSNA will be headquartered and operational in Al-Wajh, focusing on developing joint training initiatives tailored to the requirements of the labor market.
The academy's primary objective is to train 10,000 participants by 2030, preparing young Saudis for a diverse array of roles within the burgeoning tourism sector. The agreement ceremony, sponsored by Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, witnessed the participation of Reem Al-Muqbel, Vice Governor of Planning & Business Development at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Eng. Ayman Al-Abdullah, CEO of Colleges of Excellence, and John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global.
Reem Al-Muqbel reiterated the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation's dedication to nurturing national human resources through diverse training programs and forging strategic partnerships with the private sector to address the labor market's demand for skilled personnel.
Eng. Ayman Al-Abdullah expressed confidence in TRSNA's capacity to supply the tourism sector with competent Saudi professionals. He emphasized the academy's role in fostering a dynamic training environment conducive to enhancing creativity and innovation among trainees, positioning TRSNA as a premier educational and training hub in the tourism domain, thereby bolstering the Kingdom's standing as a global tourist destination.
Highlighting TRSNA as a component of the Strategic Partnership Institutes in the Kingdom underscores its commitment to delivering high-caliber training programs tailored to meet the evolving needs of the labor market.
CEO Pagano emphasized TRSNA's pivotal role in realizing Vision 2030, positioning Red Sea Global (RSG) at the forefront of the Kingdom's burgeoning tourism industry. Presently, RSG has two operational hotels, with an additional four resorts slated to open by year-end and 19 hotels across The Red Sea and Amaala set to open next year. TRSNA will ensure RSG has a robust pipeline of trained talent to support these hotels and associated infrastructure developments.
