Jeddah, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chaired a Cabinet session in Jeddah, where several significant discussions and decisions were made.
Firstly, HRH the Crown Prince expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for the successful hosting of millions of Umrah performers and worshippers during Ramadan. He commended their ease and reassurance in performing rituals, attributing this success to Allah's grace and the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. HRH also praised the collaborative efforts of state agencies in providing top-notch care to the guests of Allah.
HRH briefed the Cabinet on a message received from the Ethiopian Prime Minister, highlighting the focus on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring cooperation across various sectors.
In terms of regional and international cooperation, the Cabinet blessed the launch of the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Vision for Regional Security, aiming to bolster stability, prosperity, and international peace.
Moreover, the Cabinet recognized Saudi Arabia's selection to chair the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in 2025, underscoring the Kingdom's dedication to women's rights and empowerment.
Domestically, the Cabinet reviewed outcomes from the annual governors' meeting, emphasizing the state's commitment to holistic development across all regions. Efforts in creating job opportunities and training initiatives for Saudi youth were acknowledged, contributing to a record-low national unemployment rate.
The Cabinet also approved several memoranda of understanding and agreements, including those related to political consultations, economic cooperation, public policy, air transport services, statistics, combating terrorism, nuclear safety, and seawater desalination.
Furthermore, the state will cover costs for displaced individuals rectifying their status, including residence fees and fines related to residency regulation violations, for a period of four years.
These decisions and discussions underscore Saudi Arabia's proactive approach to regional and international cooperation, as well as its commitment to enhancing domestic development and supporting those in need.
