Riyadh, October 12, 2023, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, engaged in a telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, on Wednesday. Their discussion centered on the ongoing military escalation in Gaza.
During the call, HRH the Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to making every possible effort to engage with international and regional stakeholders in order to bring an end to the ongoing escalation. He also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's strong opposition to any form of targeting of civilians and the loss of innocent lives.
Moreover, HRH the Crown Prince emphasized the critical importance of adhering to the principles of international humanitarian law and expressed deep concern for the severe humanitarian conditions in Gaza, particularly its impact on the civilian population.
In addition, HRH the Crown Prince underlined Saudi Arabia's unwavering support for the Palestinian Cause and its dedication to advancing efforts that aim to secure a comprehensive and equitable peace, upholding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
