Jeddah, April 03, 2024, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, at the Royal Court at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. The audience marked a significant moment in bilateral relations, where both leaders exchanged warm greetings and discussed various avenues for cooperation.
HRH the Crown Prince extended a warm welcome to the Spanish Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom. In turn, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed his happiness with the visit, acknowledging the hospitality and warm reception extended to him and his delegation.
During the audience, both sides delved into discussions regarding bilateral fraternal relations and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors. They also engaged in dialogue concerning recent developments in regional and international affairs of mutual interest.
Of particular importance was the serious developments in the Gaza Strip and its surrounding areas. The leaders discussed ongoing international efforts aimed at halting Israeli military operations and addressing their security and humanitarian repercussions. Additionally, they emphasized the significance of advancing the peace process in line with UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, as well as the Arab Peace Initiative. This initiative aims to achieve a just and comprehensive solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
Both leaders highlighted the vital role of the international community in pressuring Israel to cease its actions against Gaza, uphold international laws, and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid without delay.
