Barcelona, March 23, 2025 – A delegation from the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST), led by Regulation and Competition Sector Deputy Governor Eng. Omar AlRejraje, participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) from March 3 to 6.

CST’s participation aimed to strengthen its role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s digital economy by exchanging knowledge, discussing trends and innovations, and exploring cutting-edge technologies. The event also provided a platform for bilateral meetings with global companies, promoting collaboration within the communications and technology sectors.

As part of the conference’s ministerial program, Strategy and Sustainability General Manager Eng. Abdulaziz Altamrah joined a roundtable discussion titled “Advancing Digital Inclusion Towards a Connected Future.”

In a strategic move to boost the global presence of Saudi products, CST worked with the Saudi Export Development Authority to facilitate the participation of Saudi companies in international pavilions at the event. The goal was to showcase the Kingdom’s competitiveness and create opportunities for expanding into global markets.
