Riyadh, March 5, 2024, The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) granted NEOM's digital technology entity, "TONOMUS," the Wholesale Infrastructure Services License across all categories. This license empowers TONOMUS to introduce cutting-edge technologies and establish advanced digital infrastructure within NEOM. Moreover, it fosters an environment conducive to leading-edge technologies, attracts global technical pioneers, and supports the deployment of supercomputing solutions.
During the license presentation ceremony, attended by TONOMUS Company CEO Joseph Bradley, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, CST Chairman Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha, and NEOM CEO Eng. Nadhmi Al-Nasr, the CST Governor, Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi, highlighted the pivotal role of this license in propelling NEOM's future digital advancements. He emphasized that the availability, diversity, and quality of infrastructure will play a crucial role in enabling NEOM's pioneering digital technologies, expanding business horizons, and enhancing service offerings. Dr. Al-Tamimi also underscored how licensing new infrastructure service providers will drive infrastructure development to meet the escalating demand for data capacity, elevate service standards, and align with the Kingdom's aspirations for NEOM to emerge as the world's premier hyper-connected cognitive community.
