Riyadh, March 04, 2024, In conjunction with LEAP24, the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has introduced the Information Memorandum for the Specialized Radio Network License in the 450 MHz band. This initiative aims to address the wireless communication needs of various national sectors.
By allocating the 450 MHz band for a specialized communications network on a national scale, CST aims to equip key industries such as Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Tourism, Transport, and Logistics with the necessary tools to integrate intelligent applications, automate operational processes, and utilize Internet of Things (IoT) applications to enhance connectivity, surveillance, and management capabilities.
The memorandum outlines essential aspects including eligibility criteria, deployment mechanisms, obligations, and the evaluation process for interested applicants.
Interested entities meeting the eligibility criteria are invited to submit participation requests by Thursday, May 9th, 2024.
