Riyadh, March 18, 2024, The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has issued a call to the public to cast their votes for Saudi projects competing for recognition in the ITU-sponsored World Summit on the Information Society prizes (WSIS 2024). This initiative aims to garner support for national projects and foster the development of a sustainable and prosperous digital economy accessible to all. CST highlighted Saudi Arabia's robust participation in the event, with 31 national projects representing over 20 public and private entities. Voting is open until March 31, 2024, accessible through the ITU website: (https://www.itu.int/net4/wsis/stocktaking/Prizes/2024/).

The WSIS, organized annually by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), serves as a platform to showcase ICT projects that contribute to the realization of UN Sustainable Development Goals. Saudi Arabia's active involvement in previous editions has yielded notable success, with the country securing 13 awards and 35 certificates of excellence.
