The Culinary Arts Commission is launching ""Irth,"" a new store and café concept designed to celebrate Saudi Arabia's culinary heritage, with locations opening in Madinah and Jeddah in mid-September, and Riyadh in October.

Riyadh, September 10, 2024 — The Culinary Arts Commission has unveiled a new venture called "Irth," a store and café concept dedicated to celebrating and supporting Saudi Arabia's rich culinary heritage. With locations planned for Madinah, Jeddah, and Riyadh, "Irth" (which means "heritage" in Arabic) is designed to provide a platform for local chefs and producers to showcase their talents and products.

The initiative aims to promote local chefs by highlighting unique Saudi dishes and offering a venue for local producers to present and sell their products to a wider audience. The first "Irth" locations are set to open in Madinah and Jeddah in mid-September, with the Riyadh branch slated to launch in October, according to the commission.

Through this project, the Culinary Arts Commission seeks to inspire culinary innovation and elevate the profile of Saudi cuisine on both local and global stages. "Irth" is envisioned as a central hub for local culinary talent, providing Saudi chefs with an opportunity to present creative takes on traditional dishes and fostering collaboration and innovation among local producers and food industry experts.
