Riyadh, November 25, 2024 – Under the esteemed patronage of Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, the Academy celebrated the winners of its prestigious 2024 prize during a ceremony held on Sunday. The third edition of the King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language recognized both individual and institutional achievements in various areas related to the Arabic language.
The awards covered four major categories that play a vital role in the advancement and preservation of the Arabic language: Arabic Language Teaching and Learning, Arabic Language Computing and Services through Modern Technologies, Arabic Language Research and Scientific Studies, and Promoting Linguistic Awareness and Creating Linguistic Community Initiatives. With a total prize pool of SAR 1.6 million, each winner in their respective field received an award of SAR 200,000.
The selection process was rigorous, with judging committees evaluating the nominees based on detailed and transparent criteria. These included innovation, creativity, the quality and effectiveness of their work, the scope of impact, and the tangible outcomes achieved. After completing comprehensive scientific discussions and reviewing the reports from the judging panels, the final results were announced.
