Riyadh, June 3, 2024, The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in partnership with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has published a "Cyber Awareness Guide" to raise cybersecurity awareness throughout the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
This document is part of the NCA's Cybersecurity Enhancement Program for Hajj Season 1445AH, which aims to strengthen the cybersecurity readiness of systems and services supplied during the Hajj season while also supporting national efforts to give the finest services to pilgrims.
The book underlines the significance of cybersecurity knowledge and its role in mitigating cyber hazards throughout the Hajj and Umrah seasons. It discusses social engineering and phishing techniques and provides advice on how to prevent them. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of safe internet browsing, application security, and regular mobile phone backups. The guide is available in 16 languages in the Awareness Guides part of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah website, Haj.gov.sa/Guides.
