Riyadh, September 13, 2023, A beta version of Data Saudi, an online portal that seeks to be the comprehensive reference for socioeconomic data for Saudi Arabia, was launched today, according to a statement from the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP). Users of the website can gain a better understanding of the Kingdom's economic environment by combining and integrating data elements from reliable local and international sources. In accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, the ministry stated that it would facilitate access to socioeconomic and sectoral data through Data Saudi and in cooperation with other governmental agencies. Important social and economic metrics will be included in the platform. Users can also examine the indicators at the national and regional levels.
In order to further enhance the platform, the Ministry of Economy and Planning announced it would increase data coverage to cover a wider range of economic sectors. The ministry is also attempting to publish periodicals with expert commentary and combine more sophisticated and interactive visualization techniques.
The ministry welcomes all questions and recommendations and invites all interested parties to explore the platform at https://datasaudi.mep.gov.sa/.
