Riyadh, July 26, 2023, In a grand ceremony held on Tuesday evening, under the esteemed patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, a total of 20 parks were officially inaugurated in the vibrant city of Riyadh. The event was graced by the presence of Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, the esteemed Mayor of Riyadh Region. Spread across 18 residential districts, the parks cover a vast expanse of land, totaling an impressive 181,225 square meters. In a recent development, a multitude of parks have been identified in various neighborhoods across the city. These parks are located in prominent areas such as King Faisal, Janadriyah, Dhahrat Laban, Al-Mansoura, Dirab, Al-Narjis, Ash Shuhada, Al-Yasmin, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Munsiyah, Al-Khaleej, Al Qadisiyah, Cordoba, Al-Rimal, Al-Rabie, Al-Mughrizat, Al Uraija, Al Gharbiyah, and Al Aziziyah. This diverse range of parks offers residents and visitors alike a plethora of options to enjoy green spaces and recreational activities within their respective communities. In a remarkable feat of urban planning, the parks in question have managed to amass a staggering total area of 50,000 square meters, all dedicated to lush green spaces. This verdant oasis boasts an impressive collection of over 7,000 trees and shrubs, creating a haven of natural beauty within the bustling cityscape. In addition, the infrastructure boasts an impressive network of pedestrian paths, stretching over an extensive 62,000 linear meters. The park system boasts an impressive array of amenities, including 56 recreational areas and six playgrounds. To accommodate visitors, there are ample parking spaces available, with a capacity to accommodate approximately 1,000 vehicles. In a remarkable display of aesthetic grandeur, the project boasts an impressive collection of over 750 ornate lampposts.
