Beijing, September 28, 2023, The Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, led a delegation to China, including Turki Al Babtain, the Assistant Deputy for Mining Development, and other industry leaders. Their visit aimed to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation in the mining and metallurgical sectors.
During the delegation's trip to China, Al-Mudaifer held a meeting with Tianshi Corporation's executive leadership at their Shanghai headquarters. Additionally, they visited North China Rare Earth's headquarters in Baotou, as well as JL MAG and CATL.
Discussions revolved around the potential for collaboration between Saudi Arabia and China in establishing critical mineral supply chains for various industries. The focus was on attracting high-quality investments in modern and advanced metal industries, encompassing mining and processing.
