Riyadh, October 10, 2023, On Monday, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, took the honors of inaugurating the highly-anticipated Digital Universities MENA 2023 event. This remarkable gathering, organized by Prince Sultan University (PSU) in partnership with Times Higher Education, welcomed the esteemed Prince Faisal bin Bandar, who also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Riyadh Philanthropic Society for Science (RPSS).
The event's grand opening saw Prince Faisal bin Bandar partake in the unveiling of a video presentation, shedding light on the remarkable digital transformation journey undertaken by the university. A significant highlight of the event was the recognition of both sponsors and the brilliant winners of the hackathon conducted as a part of the proceedings.
Scheduled to run until October 11, the Digital Universities MENA event has a laser focus on delving into avenues for achieving sustainable digital transformation within the realm of higher education across the Middle East and North Africa. This collective endeavor involves a thorough exploration of the latest innovations and technological trends in higher education, complemented by an examination of triumphant practices in campus development and teaching methodologies.

The program comprises over 30 panel discussions and specialized dialogue sessions that dissect various facets of higher education development.
With more than 70 regional and global luminaries and leading figures in the higher education sector in attendance, the Digital Universities MENA has truly become a global melting pot of knowledge and innovation, drawing over 300 attendees from all corners of the world.
Among the dignitaries who welcomed Prince Faisal bin Bandar upon his arrival were Minister of Education, Yousef Al-Benyan; President of PSU, Ahmed Al-Yamani; and Chairman of the PSU Board of Trustees, Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf.
