On September 21, 2024, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) celebrated the 94th Saudi National Day with a captivating lineup of events that honor the Kingdom's rich heritage and foster national unity. The activities pay tribute to King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, highlighting Diriyah's significance as a global cultural and historical symbol. At the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, the venue buzzed with cultural activities, featuring traditional Samri and Saudi Ardah performances alongside live poetry recitals. Collaborative efforts with the King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah) offered visitors insightful historical sessions about the Kingdom’s unification and King Abdulaziz’s legacy. Bujairi Terrace showcased a unique exhibition that blended history and technology, telling the story of King Abdulaziz. The "Interactive Palm Tree" display encouraged digital engagement, rewarding the top posts shared on X with prizes. Diriyah’s lush gardens, Al-Faisaliah and Al-Khalidiyah, hosted a variety of educational and entertaining activities. A spectacular military parade, featuring 1,000 personnel and equestrian displays, will take place on the streets, while two floats adorned with Ardah performers will enhance the festive spirit. The celebrations will span four days, concluding on September 23. A standout moment was an exclusive performance by the largest orchestra of its kind, featuring 500 Amazon Echo devices and Alexa, harmonizing the Saudi National Anthem and songs from the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
