The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration on cultural projects, initiatives, and events, supporting DGDA's mission with SASCA's resources.

Diriyah, October 17, 2024 – In a significant step towards fostering cultural enrichment and artistic development, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has joined forces with the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership aims to enhance collaboration on a variety of projects, initiatives, and events, utilizing SASCA's extensive publications and resources to support DGDA's mission of promoting cultural heritage and artistic expression.


The MoU was officially signed by Eng. Abdullah Al Ghanim, Advisor to the CEO of DGDA, and Khalid Al Baz, General Manager of SASCA. The agreement emphasizes the empowerment of Saudi artists and the implementation of art acquisition programs designed to enrich the aesthetic appeal of key locations within Diriyah, particularly the historic At-Turaif district, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


This comprehensive memorandum outlines a wide array of collaborative efforts, including the organization of national events and holidays, the revival of traditional musical performances, and the utilization of DGDA’s state-of-the-art facilities, theaters, and cultural assets to support SASCA's programs and projects. By leveraging these resources, the partnership seeks to create a vibrant cultural atmosphere that celebrates Saudi heritage and contemporary artistic expression.


Moreover, the MoU lays the groundwork for joint initiatives focused on community engagement, providing training and empowerment opportunities for the residents of Diriyah.
