Specialized Pediatric Care: The KSrelief medical team performed 74 surgeries and examined 96 children in Mukalla, Hadhramaut, Yemen, providing crucial pediatric healthcare between December 14 and 21, 2024.


Hadhramaut, December 25, 2024 – A medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has successfully concluded a specialized pediatric surgery program in Mukalla, Hadhramaut, Yemen. The program, which took place from December 14 to 21, 2024, involved twelve dedicated medical volunteers, including pediatric surgeons and support staff, who provided vital healthcare services to local children in need.


During the week-long mission, the team performed an impressive 74 surgeries, addressing a range of complex pediatric medical conditions. In addition to the surgeries, the team examined 96 children, offering diagnoses, medical consultations, and follow-up care to ensure comprehensive support for the young patients. The initiative not only alleviated the physical suffering of many children but also helped improve access to specialized healthcare services in a region facing ongoing challenges due to conflict and limited medical resources.
