Riyadh, September 24, 2023, In a significant gathering on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, the Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), met with Dr. Christos Christou, the International President of Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
The focus of their meeting centered on the critical topic of delivering vital medical assistance to individuals grappling with the repercussions of conflicts, epidemics, natural calamities, and substandard healthcare in vulnerable nations. Both parties underscored the necessity of information exchange and collaborative endeavors to bolster relief and humanitarian missions while advancing public health initiatives.
Dr. Christou, in particular, commended the pivotal role played by Saudi Arabia, with a special mention of KSrelief, in bolstering the healthcare sector and tending to the medical needs of those afflicted in crisis-stricken countries.
