Riyadh, March 02, 2024, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), and leader of the medical and surgical team responsible for the separation of Siamese twins, Hasnah and Hussaynah from Nigeria, has underlined the stable condition of the twins following their successful separation surgery performed 48 hours ago at the King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital of King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard.
Providing an update, Dr. Al Rabeeah stated that the twins are presently in intensive care, under anesthesia, receiving intravenous nutrition, and essential medications to maintain their stable condition. He assured that all medical parameters for the twins are positive, with the medical team vigilantly monitoring their progress in the pediatric intensive care unit.
Dr. Al Rabeeah further indicated that the twins are expected to remain in intensive care for a period of approximately ten days to two weeks, subject to a comprehensive evaluation of their condition, before being transferred to the children’s ward. Additionally, he communicated detailed information about the twins’ health status to their parents, ensuring they are well-informed throughout the process.
