Dr. Al-Sudais: Translating the Arafat Sermon into 20 Languages to Reach a Billion Audience Members

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is starting a translation project for the Arafat sermon in Makkah.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announces that it will ensure the translation of the sermon in Arafat to be within Makkah.



The project has the ambition of reaching one billion listeners in twenty different languages.




The goals of the project are to educate people on the true essence of Islam thus fostering peace, religious tolerance and moderation.



Here in the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah, we are wrapping up preparations for the world's largest translation project pertaining to the Arafat speech, which will begin today, June 10, 2024.


 The objective of this initiative is to reach one billion listeners across twenty distinct languages. To highlight the Kingdom's message on religious tolerance, moderation, peace and show Islam for what it really is in its true sense including its exalted goals Sheikh Dr. also called the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, this trailblazing endeavor aims at making an impact across religious fights that are worldwide. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, the President of the General Presidency, noted that this project exemplifies the wise leadership's strong commitment to spreading the word of Islam and highlighting the Kingdom's efforts to assist pilgrims. He also stated that this project is part of the Kingdom's efforts to serve pilgrims.
