Riyadh, October 30, 2023, In the presence of a distinguished group of authorities, professionals, and people with an interest in health, Dr. Hanan Balkhy, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, took part in a discussion on microbial resistance during the Global Health Forum. Antibiotics are used in all fields, according to Dr. Balkhy, to maintain life, whether it be in agriculture, plants, or people. The Fourth Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance will be held in the Kingdom in November, she emphasized.
