Dr. Hussam Al-Angari, President of the General Court of Audit (GCA) and Second Vice-Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), actively participated in the 77th meeting of the organization's Governing Board in Vienna, Austria.
During the meeting, Al-Angari delivered a comprehensive report on the notable endeavors undertaken by INTOSAI's Policy, Finance, and Administration Committee (PFAC). He emphasized the pivotal role played by PFAC as the chair and co-chair of the INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee (IDSC) in fulfilling the organization's strategic objectives.
The agenda covered various topics and reports, including the chair of the Governing Board's report on organizational activities, the General Secretariat's report on financial and administrative matters, and reports from chairs of strategic committees like the Capacity Building Committee (CBC) and the Professional Standards Committee (PSC). Additionally, reports from the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and INTOSAI regional organizations were reviewed.
INTOSAI's mission is to support its members across 195 countries, contributing significantly to public sector auditing, fostering transparency, and promoting good governance within its member states.
