Riyadh, September 30, 2023, Dr. Moatazbellah Alruwaithi, assistant secretary general of the Saudi Health Council, opened the Saudi Society of Medical Genetics (SSMG) Conference 2023, which will be held in Riyadh from September 28 to 30, in front of a sizable international audience that includes, among others, pediatricians, geneticists, metabolism specialists, genetic researchers, lab technicians, and genetic counselors. Alruwaithi, who gave the opening speech, expressed gratitude to the Kingdom's leadership for their special attention to the health sector in general and to genetic medicine in particular. She also emphasized the significance of the conference for fostering knowledge exchange and societal involvement.
