Riyadh, October 12, 2023, Dr. Walid bin Muhammad Al-Samani, Minister of Justice, took part in the 33rd gathering of Justice Ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, which took place today in Oman. The discussion covered a draft agreement for implementing sentences, court representations, and announcements in the GCC nations, as well as the extradition agreement between the GCC countries for accused and convicted individuals. The design of unified regulations to combat discrimination and hate speech in the GCC countries was also discussed during the meeting, as was the transformation of several legislative concepts included in the laws and regulations into unified regulations. Along with other items on the agenda, the endeavor to encourage judicial convergence among GCC nations was discussed.
