Madinah, March 5, 2025 – The Madinah Bus service, managed by the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, has announced the launch of a dedicated public transport route operating around the clock during the holy month of Ramadan. This new route is designed to provide seamless, convenient, and efficient transportation for visitors traveling to and from two of the city’s most important landmarks: Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Prophet’s Mosque.
The continuous bus service aims to address the increased demand for transportation during Ramadan, ensuring that both residents and visitors can easily access the sacred mosque, especially during peak times for prayer and religious activities. The service will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the month of Ramadan, offering a reliable option for travelers arriving at the airport or departing from the Prophet’s Mosque.
The Al Madinah Region Development Authority encourages passengers to familiarize themselves with the designated stops along the route by visiting the official Madinah Bus website. The site provides detailed information on shuttle service pick-up points, allowing passengers to select their boarding locations in advance. The shuttle’s comprehensive schedule ensures a hassle-free experience for visitors, allowing them to focus on their spiritual journeys during this important time.
This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to enhancing public transportation services for the growing number of visitors, particularly during the high-traffic periods of Ramadan. By offering a round-the-clock service, the Madinah Bus service aims to further support the ease of travel within the city, while maintaining a high standard of service and convenience for pilgrims and residents alike.
The launch of this dedicated route underscores the region's ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and improve the overall experience for visitors, aligning with the broader objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing tourism and accessibility across the Kingdom.
