Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – January 30, 2025 – The Saudi Logistics Academy has taken a significant step toward enhancing the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub by signing four strategic agreements during the second annual Global Labor Market Conference. These memoranda of understanding (MoUs) focus on developing human capital, advancing vocational training, and fostering international collaboration to support Saudi Arabia’s growing logistics sector.

One of the key agreements was signed with the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), a global leader in freight forwarding and logistics services. This MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in the development of skills and vocational training within the logistics industry. By sharing information and expertise, both organizations are committed to enhancing the Kingdom’s logistics transformation, which is integral to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives. This collaboration will help build a workforce equipped with the specialized skills needed to drive the logistics sector forward and establish the Kingdom as a leading global logistics hub.

In another important agreement, the Saudi Logistics Academy partnered with the Spanish ACEX Association, which specializes in road maintenance and operations. The MoU focuses on creating a joint framework to develop human resources in the field of road infrastructure maintenance, with particular emphasis on providing specialized training courses. The collaboration will also facilitate the exchange of best practices and knowledge, ensuring that both parties work toward mutual goals of improving road network operations and infrastructure capabilities in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, the Saudi Logistics Academy entered into a partnership with Saudi MEDLOG Limited, a major logistics company. This agreement is aimed at training and qualifying 18 candidates for employment within MEDLOG through an entry-level diploma program. By offering these training opportunities, the Saudi Logistics Academy is directly contributing to the development of a skilled national workforce that is aligned with the evolving demands of the labor market, particularly in the logistics and transportation sectors.

The fourth agreement, signed with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), focuses on training and qualifying six candidates for employment within MSC through an entry-level diploma program. This partnership will help strengthen the Kingdom's local workforce by providing individuals with the necessary training and qualifications to succeed in one of the world’s leading shipping companies.

These strategic agreements underscore the Saudi Logistics Academy’s commitment to driving innovation and developing a world-class workforce that will support the Kingdom’s ambitious logistics goals. By fostering global partnerships and focusing on vocational education and training, the Academy is playing a crucial role in the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economy, create jobs, and build a sustainable logistics ecosystem that meets international standards.
