The emergency plane hospitals will have surgical, recovery, and intensive care rooms, laboratories, imaging units, and oxygen systems that can function for four hours.
Makkah, June 14, 2024: The Ministry of Defense's Health Services announced that it will continue to provide air ambulance service during Hajj season 1445 AH, in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Presidency of State Security, represented by Security Aviation, where it has allocated the most modern aircraft in the world, equipped with the most advanced emergency medical equipment, to cover the areas of the holy sites during Hajj season. Brigadier General Dr. Bandar bin Mohammad Al-Juaid, the Assistant Commander of the mission, stated that the Armed Forces Medical Services equipped air ambulance aircraft around the clock this year to assist in emergency situations and transport those requiring medical care to Armed Forces hospitals. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) received this information. He noted that emergency plane hospitals have been equipped with surgical, recovery, and intensive care rooms, laboratories, imaging units, and oxygen systems that can function for a period of four hours while they are inside the plane.
