Riyadh, February 18, 2024, As per the latest update from the National Center for Meteorology, gusty winds are forecasted to sweep through various regions including Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah, the Eastern Region, Riyadh, and Najran. The sky is anticipated to display a mix of partial cloud cover to overcast conditions with a possibility of light rainfall in localized areas of Jazan, Asir, the Northern Borders, and Al-Jouf. Additionally, patches of fog may develop in certain locations within these regions.
Over the Red Sea, wind patterns are expected to be predominantly northerly to northwesterly, with speeds ranging between 15 to 45 km/h in the central area. Wave heights are projected to reach between one to two and a half meters in the central section, with sea conditions varying from relatively tranquil to slightly turbulent.
Meanwhile, winds across the Arabian Gulf are predicted to veer from northerly to northwesterly in the northern sector, with speeds ranging from 20 to 40 km/h. In the central and southern regions, winds are forecasted to shift from northwesterly to westerly, with speeds reaching 30 to 55 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from one meter to one and a half meters in the northern part and from one and a half to two and a half meters in the central and southern areas. Sea conditions are likely to be relatively calm in the northern sector and choppy in the central and southern regions.
