Dynasty Warriors: ORIGINS' Game Launch Celebrated in Riyadh by Manga Productions

Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation ("Misk"), launched the AAA-rated game "Dynasty Warriors: ORIGINS" in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), in collaboration with Koei Tecmo, during a special event in Riyadh.

Riyadh, January 16, 2025Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation ("Misk"), hosted a high-profile event in Riyadh on Tuesday, marking the regional launch of the highly anticipated AAA-rated video game "Dynasty Warriors: ORIGINS". This flagship title, developed by Koei Tecmo, represents a major step forward for Manga Productions as it expands its influence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) gaming markets. The event was attended by several key figures from the gaming and entertainment industries, including the producer of the series, Opa Masatomo, and the game’s dedicated development team.


In his opening remarks, Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, expressed the company’s pride in launching "Dynasty Warriors: ORIGINS" in collaboration with the globally renowned Koei Tecmo. Dr. Bukhary emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating that it represents a strategic milestone in enhancing the position of Saudi youth within the global gaming industry. The launch also underscores Manga Productions' commitment to supporting regional and global expansion efforts, providing local players with an unprecedented gaming experience, and strengthening its partnerships within the MENA region.


In addition to unveiling "Dynasty Warriors: ORIGINS," Manga Productions showcased a variety of other exciting projects in development. Among them was "Legends Adventures in the Coming Time", a game created with contributions from talented Saudi professionals. This title draws inspiration from the Saudi anime series "Asateer Future's Folktales" and features a rich narrative rooted in the Arabian Peninsula. The game introduces players to five unique worlds, including a futuristic version of Riyadh, with a diverse range of characters and stories that celebrate the cultural heritage and vision of Saudi Arabia’s future.


Manga Productions also presented additional games from its portfolio, including "Ant Empire," "Smurfs: Dreamworld," and "Smurfs Village Party." These titles have been localized and distributed for the Arab world in collaboration with the French company Microids. The company's diverse portfolio of games underscores Manga Productions' ongoing efforts to foster growth in the MENA gaming market, offering a unique blend of locally inspired content and globally recognized franchises.


The XP25 event not only celebrated the launch of a major game title but also highlighted Manga Productions' pivotal role in shaping the future of gaming in the region. With its continued commitment to innovation, collaboration, and community engagement, Manga Productions is positioning itself as a leader in the development and distribution of high-quality, culturally relevant gaming experiences for audiences across the Arab world and beyond.
