Economic conference starts tomorrow, uniting officials from Saudi, Arab, African nations

Riyadh, November 08, 2023, The Saudi-Arab-African Economic Conference commences tomorrow at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, gathering officials from Saudi Arabia, Arab, and African nations. Leaders in finance, business, and investment, along with representatives from government and private sectors, trade federations, international organizations, and academia, will convene to explore cooperation opportunities.


Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan will deliver the opening speech, initiating discussions on energy partnerships and sustainable development in the first session. Subsequent sessions will cover themes such as 'Investing in the Future,' 'Safeguarding Regional and Global Food Security,' 'Human Capital for Economic Growth,' and 'Responsible and Sustainable Extractive Industries.'


The conference will delve into the challenges and opportunities in the mining sector, followed by discussions on reimagining tourism and fostering cooperation in this sector. The final session, titled 'Roadmap for Sustainable Development,' will spotlight the crucial role of Saudi and Arab development institutions in shaping Africa's prosperous future.


To achieve the conference's goals of strengthening economic and investment partnerships, various agreements and investments will be announced, focusing on areas like food security, agricultural and industrial partnerships, environmental trade, and creating a platform for exporters and importers.


Scheduled for November 9, 2023, the conference will be live-streamed on the Ministry of Finance's social media accounts, including YouTube (MOFKSA2011) and Facebook (MOFKSA).
