Riyadh, September 13, 2024 — At the third Global AI Summit (GAIN 2024) held at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Ministry of Education have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate a scholarship program focused on artificial intelligence (AI).
The agreement was endorsed by Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, the Minister of Education, and Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, the SDAIA President. The new scholarship program is set to address the national shortage of skilled AI professionals by facilitating the admission of promising students to leading global universities renowned for their AI programs.
