Abha, April 1, 2025 – The Eid Al-Basta celebrations began yesterday at the Heritage Village in Abha, marking the start of Eid Al-Fitr 1446 AH festivities.
The four-day celebration presents a range of performances and traditional displays by folk groups from the Aseer Region, highlighting the area's cultural legacy. These performances include "Al-Damma," "Al-Khatwa," "Al-Qazoui," "Al-Ardah," and "Al-Laieb," as well as live music with various traditional instruments.
On its opening day, the event drew both residents and visitors to Aseer, offering a chance to revive the region's cultural and social traditions. It also aims to promote tourism and support local businesses by providing a platform for small enterprises and artisans to showcase their products. The festivities provide an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in Aseer’s vibrant folk culture and rich traditions.
