Emaar The Economic City partners with HopOn for smart city transportation

Jeddah, February 11, 2024, Emaar The Economic City, the principal developer behind King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), unveiled a strategic collaboration with HopOn, a leading provider of public and shared transportation solutions for smart cities. This partnership aims to introduce a smart and sustainable transportation system within KAEC.

The breadth of this partnership encompasses various initiatives, notably facilitating transportation from the Haramain High-Speed Railway station to key areas and destinations within the city. This includes offering diverse transportation options such as bus routes, customized solutions, vans, as well as two- and three-wheel scooters, and mechanical and electric bicycles. Additionally, the collaboration will focus on implementing smart transportation solutions and innovative roadside parking or designated garages. These measures will enable city residents and visitors to effortlessly book their trips and parking spaces through user-friendly smart applications.

Emaar emphasized that this collaboration signifies a significant stride towards enhancing mobility solutions and delivering innovative transportation services and smart parking facilities within KAEC. Notably, the partnership underscores the core principles of sustainability and carbon neutrality, aligning closely with the objectives outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030.

KAEC is committed to providing communities with a developed, healthy, and secure environment. It boasts ample green spaces, complemented by dedicated lanes for pedestrians and bicycles, all within close proximity to the picturesque beaches of the Red Sea. This partnership underscores KAEC's unwavering commitment to creating a modern, sustainable, and community-centric urban environment in line with the overarching goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
