Emirates Team New Zealand Clinches 37th America's Cup Preliminary Regatta in Jeddah

Jeddah, December 02, 2023 - The 37th edition of the America's Cup Preliminary Regatta Jeddah, known as the "NEOM Cup," concluded with the Saudi Deputy Minister of Sport, Bader bin Abdulrahman Al-Kadi, crowning Emirates Team New Zealand as the champion. This historic event, hosted for the first time in the Kingdom at the Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina, was organized by the Saudi Sailing Federation in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Sports.


Over the four-day competition in the waters of the Red Sea, six teams representing different countries showcased their sailing prowess. The New Zealand team secured a thrilling victory with 64 points, surpassing the Italian team, which claimed the second position with 49 points. The Swiss, American, British, and French teams secured the third to sixth positions, respectively, in this exciting and well-fought regatta.
