Riyadh, February 20, 2024, Today, the Ministry of Energy unveiled the list of qualified bidders for the establishment, development, operation, and maintenance of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) filling and storage facilities, as well as wholesale LPG distribution to consumers.
This announcement aligns with the Ministry of Energy's ongoing initiative aimed at safeguarding the rights and interests of consumers and licensees, enhancing service quality, fostering a competitive business landscape, elevating operational standards and technologies, and promoting technology localization within the sector. These efforts are integral to realizing the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
Following the selection of qualified bidders, tender documents will be made available to facilitate their application for licenses to engage in the distribution of Dry Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas for Residential and Commercial Purposes Law.
The ministry underscored that qualified bidders entering the subsequent phase must present comprehensive work programs, demonstrate technical and financial capabilities, outline operational plans, and adhere to security and safety protocols. These measures are aimed at enhancing service quality, ensuring the security of LPG supplies, and upholding consumer safety within the Kingdom.
