Jeddah, Oct 1, 2023, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, inaugurated the second edition of the "Innovation Driven Desalination" conference organized by the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC). The conference, held from September 30 to October 3 in Jeddah, brought together international academics, experts, and specialists. During the event, the minister honored the winners of the Global Innovation Award in Water Desalination, recognizing their achievements in the field. Eng. Al-Fadley highlighted the Kingdom's leadership in addressing water issues and the establishment of the Global Water Organization in Riyadh. SWCC governor, Eng. Abdullah Al-Abdulkarim, praised the participants for their contributions to the water sector and emphasized the importance of innovation in desalination. The $10 million prize encourages innovative solutions in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals, focusing on environmental aspects and technological advancements in the industry.
