Jeddah, September 04, 2023, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the Transport General Authority's Board of Directors, today formally opened the exhibition that will be held in conjunction with the Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference (SMIC) in Jeddah. Distinguished guests from 170 nations, including the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Kitack Lim, ministers of transportation and infrastructure, high-ranking government officials, and the heads of illustrious corporations, attended the occasion. The exhibition highlighted the importance of innovation and digitization in preserving the maritime environment while showcasing cutting-edge technology that supports the marine industry's sustainability. Many local and foreign organizations and businesses participated heavily in the event. Notably, the exhibition included a live drawing session, where gifted Saudi artists displayed works that were based on the water. Additionally, it gave owners of logistical transport businesses from throughout the world a forum to research possible marine and logistical transport partnership options with the Kingdom. The event also featured entrepreneurs in the logistics industry and displayed developments in the production of transport containers.
