Riyadh, November 10, 2024 — The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), one of the world’s largest and most impactful startup competitions, concluded with a grand ceremony honoring its top winners during the Biban24 forum in Riyadh. This year’s first prize went to Saudi startup MisMar, which received $200,000 in recognition of its innovative business model and promising growth potential. Singapore’s N&E Innovations claimed second place and was awarded $140,000, while Ghana’s Sommalife secured third place, earning a $70,000 prize.

The EWC attracted 100 promising startups from over 50 countries, all competing for a total prize pool of up to $1 million. Beyond financial rewards, the competition provided participants with a robust support system designed to equip entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship, and training necessary to bring their ideas to life. Through tailored programs and intensive bootcamp sessions, participants gained insights and connections crucial for navigating the challenges of scaling a business.

Organized by Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) in partnership with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), the EWC is committed to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. With GEN’s reach spanning 200 countries, the EWC connects startups to a global ecosystem, fostering collaboration and cross-border support for emerging enterprises.

The EWC at Biban24 served as a platform not only to recognize outstanding startups but also to underscore Saudi Arabia’s dedication to nurturing innovation and supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as key drivers of economic diversification. This year’s event further solidified the Kingdom’s position as a leader in fostering entrepreneurship on the global stage, offering entrepreneurs a launchpad to pursue their visions and scale their businesses worldwide.
