Eswatini and Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministers Sign a General Cooperation Agreement

Bilateral Relations Strengthened: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Eswatini's Foreign Minister Pholile Shakantu and Prince Lindani to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in various sectors.

Riyadh, December 12, 2024 – In a key diplomatic engagement today, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met with Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Pholile Shakantu, and Prince Lindani, the son of the King of Eswatini and a Member of Parliament. The meeting, which took place in Riyadh, was focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations and exploring new avenues for cooperation in a wide range of sectors.


The discussions centered on enhancing ties between Saudi Arabia and Eswatini, with both sides emphasizing the importance of fostering closer collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, education, culture, and diplomatic exchanges. Both leaders expressed a shared commitment to building a strong, enduring partnership that would benefit both countries, underlining the potential for growth in various fields of mutual interest.


A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a general agreement for cooperation between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Eswatini.
