Jeddah, April 04, 2024, The upcoming World 9-Ball Pool Championship, slated to be held from June 3 to 8, 2024, in Jeddah, is generating significant excitement within the billiard and snooker community. Organized by the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation and operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports, this prestigious event will take place at the Green Sports Halls.
As part of the meticulous planning process, the organizing and operational team for the championship conducted a comprehensive inspection of the facilities, preparations, and tables on Wednesday evening. This thorough review encompassed various technical aspects pertinent to the tournament's smooth execution.
Leading the inspection were key figures including Dr. Nasser Al-Shammari, President of the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation, Abdulaziz Al Thani, Board Member of the Federation and Chairman of the Technical Committee, and Emily Frazer, Executive Director of Matchroom Sports.
Notably, in March, the Ministry of Sports unveiled plans to host two rounds of the World Pool Championship and the Masters Snooker Championship in Saudi Arabia. This initiative, scheduled to commence from 2024 and extend over a decade, reflects the Kingdom's commitment to fostering excellence and growth in billiards and snooker on a global scale.
