Jeddah, Dec 22, 2023, The organizers of Extreme E have announced the schedule for the fourth season of the all-electric SUV off-road racing series, set to take place in 2024. The series aims to raise awareness about climate change and human interventions in remote areas while promoting the use of electric vehicles (EVs) to support environmental conservation efforts.
The global tour will commence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the fourth consecutive year. The first two rounds are scheduled for February 17th and 18th, 2024, at a new location near Jeddah. The third and fourth rounds in Europe will be held on July 13th and 14th, with the hosting location to be announced later.
Moving to Sardinia, Italy, for the 2024 season, the Italian island will host four rounds: the fifth and sixth rounds on September 14th and 15th, and the seventh and eighth rounds on September 21st and 22nd.
The fourth season of the electric off-road racing series will conclude in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, with the ninth and tenth rounds on November 23rd and 24th. This marks the first time the championship will take place in the United States.
Alejandro Agag, Extreme E founder and CEO, expressed excitement about the upcoming season, emphasizing the return to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the new location near Jeddah for the opening rounds. He highlighted the Kingdom as a magnificent backdrop for the series, anticipating a fantastic experience in the new location.
