Faisal Alibrahim's official visit to Slovenia strengthens government connections

Ljubljana, September 27, 2023, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Alibrahim, embarked on an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia, forging significant ties with senior government figures. His itinerary included meetings with prominent officials such as Matjaz Han, Minister of Economy, Tourism, and Sport; Klemen Bostjancic, Minister of Finance; and Tibor Simonka, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


In conjunction with his visit, Alibrahim participated in the Slovenia-Saudi Business Roundtable Meeting, an event spotlighting investment opportunities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During his address, he underscored the untapped potential for collaboration between the Saudi and Slovenian private sectors, emphasizing the potential for innovative partnerships and mutually beneficial investments that drive progress and innovation.


Slovenian representatives seized the opportunity to showcase both attractive investment prospects within their Central European nation and their existing successful business ventures within the Kingdom.


One of the pivotal outcomes of the roundtable meeting was the signing of a memorandum of understanding, paving the way for the establishment of the Saudi-Slovenian Business Council. This council is poised to elevate private sector cooperation between the two nations to new heights.


This official visit by Minister Alibrahim forms a crucial part of Saudi Arabia's global outreach efforts, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. By fostering robust multilateral cooperation and cross-border investments, Saudi Arabia aims to cultivate a thriving private sector, thereby advancing the socio-economic development of the Kingdom.
