Fashion Commission opens Tashkeela exhibition, showcasing local talent and brands

Riyadh, March 18, 2024, The Fashion Commission launched the second edition of the "Tashkeela" exhibition at the ROSHN Front on Saturday, marking a significant occasion for local talent and brands to unveil their latest collections. Spanning until March 19, the exhibition offers a diverse range of designs, from ready-to-wear to high-end fashion, including accessories, handbags, shoes, jewelry, and perfumes.

Anticipated to attract a wide audience, the exhibition is poised to draw local fashion experts, trend-savvy influencers, and investors keen on supporting the burgeoning Saudi fashion sector. Shoppers seeking to explore the latest styles and champion local businesses will find themselves immersed in a dynamic fashion experience.

In an interview with the Saudi Press Agency during the exhibition's opening, Fashion Commission CEO Burak Çakmak underscored the commission's commitment to strengthening the fashion industry, both domestically and internationally. This entails providing Saudi brands with opportunities to access retail markets within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond.

The event spotlights the efforts of over 160 Saudi designers, including participants in the commission's "100 Saudi Brands" program, which offers year-round training and guidance to empower Saudi fashion designers and elevate them into successful brands.

Following the resounding success of its inaugural edition, which drew a staggering 22,000 visitors over four days, the "Tashkeela" exhibition's second iteration promises to build upon this achievement. In addition to showcasing Saudi designers, the exhibition also features designers from Arab and other countries, creating a vibrant platform for highlighting diverse fashion talents, as highlighted by Çakmak.
