Riyadh, May 12, 2024, The General Court of Audit (GCA), represented by the Saudi Center for Financial and Performance Auditing (SCFPA), concluded the annual "Fifth Internal Auditing Forum" today in Riyadh. The forum, inaugurated by the Head of the GCA, Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Angari, brought together over 450 experts and stakeholders from both the public and private sectors in the field of internal auditing.
The event featured two-panel discussions addressing current challenges and development opportunities in internal auditing. Additionally, the GCA launched the "Knowledge Community for Internal Auditing" during the forum, aiming to facilitate knowledge exchange and experiences among specialists and experts in the public sector. Through discussions, workshops, and social interactions, the community seeks to enhance continuous educational processes and skill development.
Moreover, the forum included an accompanying exhibition on "Internal Audit Applications," with participation from the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors and entities holding the "External Quality Assessment" certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Exhibitors, including the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, the General Entertainment Authority, Elm Company, and SABIC, showcased their experiences in implementing internal audit roles, leading to the acquisition of certification.
