First Wave of Iraqi Pilgrims Welcomed at Jadidat Arar Border Crossing

The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority stated that preparations were put in place at Jadidat Arar Border Crossing to accommodate Iraqi pilgrims as they entered the country.


They built a huge Hajj terminal with enough space, which can accommodate more than 20,000 pilgrims daily.



For the purpose of giving pilgrims better care, it is equipped with passport desks, inspection areas and modern health and security facilities. The Jadidat Arar Border Crossing was made ready by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority within Arar The first batch of visitors from Iraq is expected to arrive on May 22, 2024, according to SPA newspaper. The authority constructed a massive Hajj terminal over an area of more than 9,000 square meters. It has enough space to accommodate over 20,000 pilgrims who would be traveling from across the world daily. It is equipped with 68 passport desks, six inspection areas, and the latest health and security facilities. Due to the availability of these amenities, pilgrims are provided with superior medical care and are able to navigate the processes with greater ease.


This planning is an important part of the overall strategy by ZATCA to provide the best customs services at all ports. To offer those services is their overarching plan.
