Madinah, March 1, 2025 – The Prophet's Mosque in Madinah witnessed an overwhelming turnout of worshippers on the first night of Ramadan 1446 AH, as Muslims from around the world gathered to perform the Isha and Tarawih prayers. The sacred mosque, one of the holiest sites in Islam, became a focal point for devotion and unity during the blessed month, with thousands of worshippers filling the mosque’s courtyards and expansions.

In preparation for the significant influx of worshippers, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in collaboration with other relevant authorities, had undertaken meticulous planning and operational measures. The objective was to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for all attendees while maintaining the sanctity and order of the holy site during this special time.

To accommodate the large number of worshippers, the authority ensured that the courtyards and expansions of the mosque were equipped with high-quality carpets, laid throughout the areas to provide a clean and comfortable space for prayer. The mosque's vast area, including its outdoor and expanded sections, was carefully organized to facilitate the flow of people, ensuring that worshippers could perform their prayers without congestion while maintaining a sense of peace and reverence.

In addition to the seating arrangements, all necessary services were implemented to cater to the needs of the worshippers, including the provision of Zamzam water, which holds significant religious and spiritual importance for Muslims. The authority worked closely with local agencies to ensure that the distribution of Zamzam water was efficient, providing easy access to this sacred water for all visitors, particularly during the hot nights of Ramadan.

The collaborative efforts of the General Authority and other involved agencies reflect the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing the experience of worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan. As the Prophet's Mosque stands as a beacon of spirituality, these preparations highlight the importance of ensuring the comfort and convenience of the millions of Muslims who visit to offer prayers, seek blessings, and deepen their connection with Allah during this sacred time.

The first night of Ramadan at the Prophet’s Mosque was a testament to the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to facilitate a spiritually enriching environment for Muslims worldwide, ensuring that the experience of Ramadan in Madinah remains one of peace, reflection, and collective devotion.
