Madinah, March 1, 2025 – The Prophet's Mosque in Madinah witnessed an overwhelming turnout of worshippers on the first night of Ramadan 1446 AH, as Muslims from around the world gathered to perform the Isha and Tarawih prayers. The sacred mosque, one of the holiest sites in Islam, became a focal point for devotion and unity during the blessed month, with thousands of worshippers filling the mosque’s courtyards and expansions.
In preparation for the significant influx of worshippers, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in collaboration with other relevant authorities, had undertaken meticulous planning and operational measures. The objective was to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for all attendees while maintaining the sanctity and order of the holy site during this special time.
To accommodate the large number of worshippers, the authority ensured that the courtyards and expansions of the mosque were equipped with high-quality carpets, laid throughout the areas to provide a clean and comfortable space for prayer.
