Enhancing cybersecurity awareness for government personnel during Hajj and with a view to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty has been a key purpose of the exhibition.
June 4, 2024, in Makkah. The National Cybersecurity Authority and the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) organized the "Cybersecurity Awareness Exhibition for the Hajj Season 1445H," which was held today at the MOI Employees Club in Makkah. Eng. Thamer Al-Harbi, Deputy Assistant Minister of the Interior for Technology Affairs, was present during the function. The event, which will last four days, aims to emphasize the value of safeguarding national security while also increasing awareness of cybersecurity through the use of innovative and interactive techniques. Targeting employees of participating government agencies in this year's Hajj season, the exhibition offers a review of cybersecurity concepts and their national significance, a live simulation of cyberattacks on individuals and organizations, an interactive approach to explaining safe practices, and general consultations and recommendations to shield people from falling victim to electronic phishing.
